Bearsted Medical Practice

Welcome to the Bearsted Medical Practice

The practice has been held since 1750. Founded by Mr Thomas Weekes in Eyhorne House in Hollingbourne. He instructed trainee apothecaries and provided care for  his patients for 29 years. We are still a training practice for both doctors and medical students.

After 200 years the practice moved to Bearsted, initially at "The Limes" on Bearsted Green, and then moving to Yeoman Lane in 1973. The initial premises were built to accommodate 3 doctors. This was extended in 1982 and 1989 to accommodate 5 partners and a trainee GP.

We have recently moved to new surgery premises with 9 consulting rooms in April 2005.

The practice is in contract with the Maidstone Weald Primary Care Trust to provide general medical services to all patients. The PCT is based at Preston Hall, Aylesford and can be contacted by telephone on: 01622 711250

We are open 8.30 am - 6 pm Monday to Friday, although the surgery is closed from 1pm-2pm  and we are closed over the weekend. Appointments are available during the hours listed below. To see a doctor or nurse please telephone us or come into the surgery to book an appointment.

Nurses appointments start from 8.30am. Doctors appointments from 9am

The surgery also runs extended hours with surgeries run by some of the doctors

These are held on Tuesday mornings from 6.30am - 8.00am and Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm - 8.30pm and are available by pre booked appointment only
